Two Cities Marathon History
•2002 Trail of Two Cities Half Marathon established by Sierra Challenge Express in conjunction with the Fresno Joggers•2002 Trail of Two Cities Half Marathon course ran from Clovis to Fresno and had about 350 participants
•2003 Trail of Two Cities Half Marathon grew to about 600 participants
•2004 Trail of Two Cities Half Marathon grew to about 800 participants
•2005 Trail of Two Cities Half Marathon grew to about 1200 participants
•2006 Trail of Two Cities Half Marathon course changed to a loop course from Fresno to Clovis and back to Fresno, and the event grew to about 1800 participants
•2008 Two Cities Marathon and Trail of Two Cities Half established with a cap of 3000 participants – the event sold out!
•2009 Name changed to Two Cities Marathon and Half
•2009 Two Cities Marathon and Half course changed and the number of participants was capped at 5000 – the event sold out!
•2010 Two Cities Marathon and Half is capped at 7000 participants
•2010 Two Cities Marathon and Half added an Ultra Marathon (50k) with a total of 6000 participants
•2011 Two Cities Marathon and Half is capped at 7000 participants
•2010 Two Cities Marathon and Half is capped at 7000 participants
