Pinnacle Training Systems continues it’s legacy in 2010 as a training partner for the Eye-Q Two-Cities Marathon & Half. Last year, we successfully brought many first-time full & half marathoners across the finish line. Pinnacle Training Systems also boasts multiple top placements in the 2010 race, including the overall winner, PTS-coached Jesus Campos! With PTS, you get a training program that is based on specific scientific principles which will help you reach your goals. Designed and implemented by published researcher and former pro athlete, Felicia Gomez, Ph.D., these training programs will help you train smart and avoid injury along the way. While other training programs focus on high mileage and verbal motivation, PTS bases it's programming only on reliable science and professional experience to help you cross the finish line.

Program Descriptions:

Full (26.2) Program: This program has already started. We are no longer accepting open registration for this program, but we are considering new runners on a case-by-case basis. Please e-mail us at info@pinnacletrainingsystems.com if you would like to join in on the full program.

Half (13.1) Program: 16 Weeks, begins week of August 2nd. This includes three group runs per week. All runs are trainer-supported. There are three levels in this program based on your current mileage and experience. PRICE: $300 (INCLUDES RACE REGISTRATION!)

Half (13.1) Walking Program: 14-weeks, begins week of August 16th. This includes two group/trainer supported walks per week. PRICE: $250 (INCLUDES RACE REGISTRATION! Early Bird pricing ends July 27th!)

With scientifically driven exercises designed specifically for runners, you will find that your endurance capacity, running economy, and PR’s will drastically improve.

What makes this an excellent cross-training choice for YOUR marathon/half training?
As you may know, it is smart to cross train during the week to allow your body to recover more effectively from your running days. One of the most effective options you can choose is this boot camp. These boot camp sessions are not one-size-fits-all workouts. These are designed specifically for endurance runners such as yourself. Our sessions include:
    • Cardiovascular workouts to compliment your full or half marathon training.
    • Flexibility training to aid in injury prevention.
    • Stabilization and core exercises to increase strength and decrease fatigue.
    • Plyometric exercises to improve your form and technique.
    • Strength training specific to running to help increase your power and speed.
